Job Description:


          Investment Specialist (Private Equity)

          The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of closing successful transactions including private equity funds and/or direct equity investments in developing markets.


          Responsibility           

           

          1. Conduct industry and market research for investment that aligns Investment prospectus of PE/VC Fund.

          2. Draft and present internal proposals for approval by Investment Committee and Board.

          3. Negotiate, structure, and complete investment deals.

          4. Lead fundraising activities for the fund.

          5. Identify and execute co-investment transactions that support strategies and policies. 

          6. Lead investment team for implementing effective fund monitoring and administration. 

          7. Ensure compliance with investment strategy, covenants, environmental and social safeguard requirements, and recommend corrective actions as necessary. 

          8. Actively monitor fund financial performance and actions.

          9. Undertake the implementation and the hand-over of administration of private equity funds ensuring compliance with required guidelines, policies, and procedures as well as agreed covenants and reporting requirements up to financing effectiveness. 

          10. Participate in and contribute to relevant internal and external sessions, training and conferences, and other activities for advocacy, dissemination, and knowledge building 

          11. Maintain and share knowledge of international best market practices and global and regional trends in the targeted sectors Strategy and Planning 

          12. Take the role of team leader and supervise the work of team members in executing deals.

          13. Supervise the performance of reporting staff, providing clear direction and regular monitoring and feedback on performance. 

          14. Ensure the ongoing learning and development of reporting staff

           

           

          EDUCATION REQUIRMENT

          CA or CFA with 8 years of experience relevant to the PEVC Investment Management Functions.

          RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

          1. At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting. 

          2. Direct investing experience with a private equity fund.

          3. Strong practical experience in structuring, negotiating, and monitoring fund investments and direct co-investment transactions.

          4. Strong understanding of and experience in building financial models for valuations and financial returns analysis.

          5. Highly motivated and strong work ethic.

          6. Proactive self-starter, with proven ability to initiate (including being resourceful in identifying fund managers) and bring deals to completion.

          7. Sound business judgment, problem-solving, and commercial instincts.
